Yesterday, June 12, marked the one year anniversary of the introduction of the Springfield Squidport into our game! Players new that the update was coming soon because the very first expansion was shown off at the EA booth at last years E3 Expo. So, Squidport is due some much needed additions after a year of radio silence and I think that sometime around now would be a good time to do it! In a little over a week, on June 12, the Squidport expansion will be one year old. This would be an ideal time for them to release another proper update with more stores and decorations, much like they did the first time around.
However, they could hold off on the Squidport update, if there is one, until later in the summer in favour of something else. A Chilli Cook Off event has certainly been generating some buzz over on the official forums with many people suggesting items that could come with the event including picnic tables and suggested tasks. Of course they could have another expansion planned like The Springfield Badlands or even East Springfield. Both of these possible expansions could even come with some much needed LAND!
All I know for sure is, the Level 41 update was suspiciously short…. Last year, summer time in Tapped Out was pretty amazing. There was a new level every 2 weeks or so, a Fourth of July mini event, the addition of Krustyland as well as the expansion of Springfield down to the waterfront, which brought with it the Springfield Squidport.
But, if you could have one thing added to the game during the summer, what would you choose? Please post your information there from now on, thank you!Rain bird manual
The very first episode tie-in of the new season is available now. For those who do, please click continue reading for all the juicy details!! For many of us, when the Springfield Squidport was added, we got to start to build it right away.
Like with all other content, you need to reach a certain level to access it.Hp scan manual
To start the construction of the boardwalk you need to be at least Level Once you get going, the development of Squidport will coincide with your level if you keep expanding it. This can be difficult, as there will be points in the game where you will have to decide between spending your money on new buildings for Springfield, or new buildings for the Squidport. Most of the content is available once you start building the Squidport, however you will need to reach certain levels to construct some of the buildings later in the quest line.
Of all the decorations for Squidport, only three require that you reach Level January 14, PM. There are the 6 Springfield Heights buildings that you can use to generate the various SH currencies, but they actually need characters to do jobs at them to earn the currencies so it's more like character jobs not building revenue.
Then there is the Googolplex which will generate SH currencies based on which movie you show there 1 movie for each type of currency, works like Cleatus' farm or the Channel 6 station. Little Lisa's Recycling makes blueprints. Oh, and there is the Squidport Entrence which creates squidport tiles. The ornate pier, which creates ornate pier tiles.
Both of these are limited numbers. The yellow submersible will randomly generate both types of tiles squidport and ornate pier. The Chedderbarrel barn will create 3 types of field wheat, corn and plowed. The Great Wall tower will create 3 types of Great Wall pieces tower and two different wall sections. Little Lisays Recycling plant earns blueprints. The Stonecutter tunnel creates tunnel sections. Most of these with the exception of the Recycling Plant you have to select the job to create the item.
January 14, PM edited January Ok, here is the summary I've put together. There are 3 types of buildings that can earn things other than money. Automatic earners just like regular buildings, when you collect the currency it starts earning immediatelyBuildings with jobs that can earn things other than money they work like Cleatus' farm where you have to start the job manually.
And buildings that have character jobs that earn something other than money. Muhsterino Thanks! I added those two to the list. I left off the buildings that generate random prizes like the rocket and the submersible because then we start getting into the grey area of mini games like the claw game and the dig sites, etc. Thanks for the replies jtgrorg, frosted and Muhsterino. I knew that the recycling plant was another building to earn a different currency and I forgotten about the other buildings that earns currency from their own jobs and character jobs.
I like that there are quite a few dozen buildings that generate something other than cash. And with it arrives one of the most requested buildings….
Pros: -Small questline…no dialogue just tasks -Pretty decent payout on the building, great way to generate some extra cash in your town. Final Thought: This one is a toss up in my opinion. Some will love it, some will hate it. Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you! Looking for Should I Buy Guides for more premium content?
Check out our complete Tapped Out Premium Guide here. Just got this in the black Friday sale. Know where it can be placed now that I find very fitting? The beach in Springfield Heights. Like Like. If it can go on the Heights beach does that mean it could go on the Heights pier?
Where is it located in the new menu? Anyone else have this problem? Have you got to Level 46 on your game play? Yes to all. I actually found it buried deep in the premium menu. Keep up the good work. So when characters go here to do tasks can you see them on the stage, like with the Open Air Stage?
Its big and my town is full…so may wait untill I get more land or the over copter which means I could reduce the size of my airport. While I bought the Prep School with this update, the Clamphitheater was a different story. According to the article, it was one of the more requested buildings, so congrats to those that have been waiting for this add!
I had the donuts to spare, and a lovely big unused section of boardwalk so I bought it. Thank you for the info. Always great to read you before spending donuts. I have other premium to aquire before this item. I may be wrong but I believe I saw a task for Agnes for the Clamphitheater. Is that the quest link to the Clamphitheater only? By releasing all of these quests focusing on the children of Springfield at once, it made things a bit disjointed.
Spending money on this game is difficult to justify, at least from a game play perspective. The enjoyment of the game comes in small doses. If you had unlimited funds and unlimited donuts, you could build everything and rush every task.
The charm of The Simpsons in general has always been its strong writing. Decorating your town is one thing, but without the characters to populate that town, the whole experience feels rather empty. In that regard it does makes sense to want to purchase as many characters as possible, to make your town feel as diverse and populated as the television show. Recently the problem with that has been the increased cost of premium content.
Take a look at the different options for purchasing donuts versus the cost of the items you can buy. For twenty dollars you could purchase a brand new game on a service like Steamand still have money left over for lunch. It may not seem like much, but micro-transactions can put a huge dent in your wallet without you even realizing it. So what is the solution? Honestly donuts should be cheaper, much cheaper.
There is no reason other than greed, the fact that people are continuing to buy content at these high prices, and basic business economics to have premium content priced so high.
You should be able to spend a dozen donuts and add a new character to your town. If you really want to see the quest dialogue, check the walkthroughs. This terrible twosome spend most of their time tormenting boys.
These two are only a few years away from becoming the twins from The Shining The Shinning. An Origin account was never a requirement to play the game, as users could choose to play anonymously.Tf transformations github
In one week, that option may result in some data loss if you do not connect your town to an Origin account. If you do play anonymously, you may have seen this message appear.August 31, PM. Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to start the Squidport quest. I'm currently on level 26 and thought it was supposed to start at level Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I love this game, it's so much fun!KC Plays! - TSTO - Springfield Heights - MONORAIL TUNNEL
August 31, PM edited August Welcome to the forum! You have to be a minimum level of 15 to start Squidport, but generally there are pre-set quests for levels before you can start the next build. Have you bought any land towards the ocean? Post edited by Muhsterino on August According to what I can find you must first buy a Beach and Water expansion.
Not helpful, but it's what I found. Are you finishing your quests? You can only put stuff off for so long before you get stuck. Speaking of which: Don't try to avoid doing Krustyland when you get to it. Do you have the Sea Captain with his Houseboat yet? I can't remember which comes first, Squidport or Sea Captain.
I only vaguely remember the quest coming up and I've done it 3 times. Once you buy your first beach and water tiles with regular currency you should be prompted to place the Sea Captain and his Houseboat.
Then the prompt to place the Squidport Entrance should appear. Realistically isnt closer to lvl 20 before you get the squidport update. Need to also make sure you have bought the right land. Thank you everyone for your help! I really appreciate it. I have quite a bit of land along the ocean, but have only purchased one parcel of water, and I don't remember if I used regular currency for that or not.
I will try buying another parcel of water the center one this time with regular currency to see if that helps. I haven't seen the Sea Captain or his Houseboat yet.
Your suggestions will probably do the trick. Thanks again! September 1, AM. For those with a done up Squidport do you use the Boardwalk fences all the way around? Treehouse of Horror and Winter are usually a lot of fun.By the time you get to building Springfield Downs, you should be able to get underway — although buying that water expansion may be a bit of an obstacle. Like the delicious fried dough they used to sell down at the waterfront. Get in the car, kids! You blew up the town.
There is no Squidport. We all just walk aimlessly on the streets. Now we can build the Squidport Entrance.
Building builders, I assume. A plate-sized glob of wet flour, deep fried and covered with whipped cream… Ow! Chest pains!

I need to exercise. By walking a short distance along the boardwalk to get to the Fried Dough Stand. You now enter the Tutorial Phase of Squidport. It will show you how to place the 4 boardwalk sections that came for free with the Squidport Entrance.
Full of charming junkies and colorful runaways, attracted by the smell of carnival food and shady merchants… Wait a minute! Is something wrong?

Some good stuff for sure! My Squidport is alright — I tried to make it look like an eel, lol. Pretty much just finished and bought the premium characters for it. Anyone who wants to see add me — zecd. Like Like. Hi Stilly! I just wish there were tasks we could send the performers on, on the boardwalk, of course.
This is giving me good design ideas. I find myself lacking creativity when it comes to squidport. I wish I could make more tiles but im maxed out! I would also like more items for squidport to build or design a feature my dodgem ride is pretty rubbish. Woo Hoo thanks for the showoff! They are the only way to find the elusive whale in my Squidport lol. And great job to everyone, I love seeing how creative people can be!
